Fred Eastwood and Stapleford Yankee Doodle Dandy qualified at Kent County for Harness Horse and Pony of the Year Championship HOYS 2026

Another Stapleford pony is heading to HOYS!

A huge congratulations to Fred Eastwood with Stapleford Yankee Doodle Dandy, who put on a superb performance at Kent County Show 2026, winning the Under 13.2hh Private Drive before going on to be crowned Overall Private Drive Champion, securing his coveted HOYS qualification

It couldn’t have been more fitting to qualify on the eve of the 4th of July!

Proudly owned by Elizabeth Ashbridge and expertly produced by Fred Eastwood at Stapleford, Dandy continues to thrive. With the unmistakable quality of the Heartland Prophet bloodline, he continues to make his mark in the private drive ring. It is wonderful to see their hard work, dedication and commitment rewarded with such a well-deserved HOYS qualification.
